Thea is easy-going, sweet, creative, and has a quirky sense of humor. She likes to spend time with her loved ones, read, watch documentaries, and hike. She is learning how to cook and amazes herself when she can put together a full dinner! She is currently learning the Polish language, but it’s not as easy as she hoped! Thea currently lives with her boyfriend and their rescue dog, Angel, a 10-year old soft coated Wheaten Terrier. She loves animals, especially dogs, and would adopt more if she could.

Life is a journey with both smooth and bumpy roads. Many people, if not most, find it difficult to endure the bumps in life. We all go through difficult problems and times. Thea believes that everyone has the power to navigate through adversity, grow as a person, and develop a happier, healthier life. She believes counseling can be beneficial to anyone who is willing to try. Everyone needs to be heard and supported. Everyone has strengths they can use to overcome hurdles. Thea works with you to gain empowerment, peace, and skills to use in the future. You can develop positive long-term results from counseling and improve your life’s trajectory. Thea is excited to partner with you to do that!
Areas of Interest
Thea is experienced working with teens and adults using a variety of orientations. Thea’s areas of interest include depression, anxiety, general stress, anger and irritability, work stress, self-esteem, mindfulness, couples/marital issues, divorce and separation, trauma, parenting concerns, family counseling, work stress, life transitions, grief, communication, addictions/substance abuse, and crisis counseling.
In addition to Strengths-Based Therapy, Thea also uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions-Focused Therapy, Systems Theory Approach, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other therapeutic approaches. Thea believes each person is unique, so she will tailor services to be just right for you.

Sometimes people have irrational or negative views of counseling or just don’t know what to expect. Thea will offer a relaxing and comfortable environment. During appointments, Thea provides a warm, safe, and empathetic experience. She believes that everyone needs to feel in control of their own life, so she’s here to give guidance to relieve stress and gain security and strength. Thea is non-judgmental, respectful, and will establish trust so you can feel comfortable talking about anything.
