Life Solutions: Integrative Healing

Dr. Milano, PhD, LCPC, CHAIS, NCC, CFLE

Tarrah Johnson
MSW

Approach
“Finding and embodying your true self allows you to tap into the realm of infinite possibility and potential.” – Derek Rydall. Tarrah considers the therapeutic process as the path to self-discovery, embracing positive change, and becoming empowered to explore who you are, who you’ve been, and who you strive to be. She views the therapist as the light that guides you to the pathway of self-discovery. Her goal is to encourage, inform, and assist you in a safe, confidential, and easygoing setting.

Areas of Interest
Tarrah is skilled in working with children, adolescents, adults, and groups. Her specialties include anxiety, depression, grief, mood disorders, social skills, stress & crisis management, trauma, personality disorders, work stress, communication issues, life changes, chronic illness, and development of good coping mechanisms. Tarrah has experience with Trauma-Informed Care, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Tarrah promotes the connection between physical and emotional well-being. For example, research shows the practice of yoga and mindfulness are therapeutic to physical, emotional, and relational challenges. Don’t worry, however, she won’t make you do any yoga poses. Tarrah provides insight and skills to overcome the difficult hurdles life brings. She will provide compassionate and nonjudgmental assistance working through your challenges. If you wish, she will guide you to identify and realize life-changing goals.

About Tarrah
In addition to clinical work, Tarrah has experience as a crisis clinician, assisting individuals and families in both life-threatening and mental health crises. She has also worked with special education students, advocating for social and emotional needs within the academic setting.

When Tarrah is not working, she is spending time with her four-year-old daughter, her puppy, and her family. She loves traveling, being outdoors, practicing yoga, trying new foods and restaurants, listening to music, and attending concerts. She is an avid coffee drinker, lover of the beach, sunshine, volleyball, and quality time with her loved ones.
