About Laura, MSW, LCSW

Since she was a child, Laura has been sought out for help and guidance, which eventually launched her clinical career.   For over 20 years, Laura has enjoyed helping people relieve stress and get through difficult challenges in life.  Laura’s prior work settings were community mental health and schools.  In her non-working time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, cooking, gardening, playing guitar and piano, and singing.

What to Expect:

You can expect a kind, warm, funny person who you will feel relaxed around.  She is known as bright, creative, and eclectic, with a sharp intellect.  Laura is fond of “thinking outside the box” and emits a non-judgmental presence that helps people feel at ease.  She has some personal experience with trauma resolution and believes in our ability to heal.  Laura is not overly directive and prefers “working together” with you, rather than simply telling you what to do.  She says the great paradox of her career is “If you’re doing the job right, you put yourself out of business”.  She has a strong sense of humor and is fond of laughing until it hurts.
