Approaches
Jamie Lynn is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as a foundation for services. In addition, she uses Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and more. Her approach involves helping you understand ways of maintaining life balance and living a fulfilling life, while reducing symptoms and working through problems in a healthy way. Jamie Lynn believes you are the author of your story and can obtain positive outcomes, even if it feels impossible.
In life, when we deal with difficult relationships or challenging environments that are toxic, judgmental, or aggressive, it causes negative symptoms in ourselves. Many people live and work in negative environments that Jamie Lynn can help you manage and overcome. During your time with her, Jamie Lynn’s approach is to provide you with the basic human rights everyone deserves: caring, open, nonjudgmental, support that is not threatening, scary, or uncomfortable.
As a Integrative Medicine Professional, Jamie Lynn is trained to take a holistic approach to mental healthcare. This approach considers the highly individualized factors that influence your mental health such as nutrition, physical health, sleep, exercise, hormones, and supplements. Jamie can explore how your mental health is related to these factors and make recommendations and provide psychoeducation for how to address any challenges discovered. Please note that Jamie is not a prescriber and will not perform medical services or testing (such as hormone testing), though she will assess symptoms and make recommendations for additional services by a certified medical professional.
