Betsey is experienced in counseling adolescents and adults in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. She is married, a new mother and veteran cat mom. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, traveling, and drinking coffee.

Betsey is trained to provide services using a strengths-based and multi-systemic approach. Betsey uses evidenced based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Shame Resilience theory, Object Relations theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, and Solution-focused therapy. Her approach involves providing and objective and non-judgmental space for you to work on challenges. Betsey will provide you with encouragement while you resolve challenges and heal.

Betsey’s Personality

Betsey is sweet, gentle, smiley, and easy to talk to.  Her personality will help you to feel comfortable. She has a naturally empathetic and straightforward personality; yet she is not easily intimidated. Expect a casual and relaxed atmosphere with her, almost like you’ve known her a while.  Her authenticity is a great asset to everyone who works with her. Betsey can relate to experiencing challenges throughout the lifespan.  She will meet you where you’re at and approach you with kindness. In appointments, she helps you learn skills to experience life more peacefully and enjoyably.
